The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin but a Number came out in 1994. When she was just 15 years old, the album earned Gold recognition. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project which put the singer into the limelight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland in her second studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling single If Your Girl knew. Aaliyah was recognized internationally for her work as an R&B performer with the launch of her sophomore album One in a Million. She starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the romance-action film Romeo Must Die. She got this role after being spotted by the film's director Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002, she was able to play the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Though her first career was dominated by minor television and film parts, she gained recognition in the latter half of 2000s. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) The actress has been featured in commercials of major companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. She lives in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting profession.
